It’s #TBT and for Throwback Thursday this week we have photos from the final day of the “Narrow Gauge Rendezvous” at Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad on Sunday August 27, 2016 captured by Museum volunteer George Lawrence! The day started off with Rio Grande Southern “Galloping Geese” Nos. 5 & 7 joining Denver & Rio Grande Western steam locomotive No. 463 as the locomotive pulled a “photo train” from Chama to Cumbres before lunch! After lunch Engine 315 joined 463 and the geese for the return trip to Chama which included several stops for runbys!

Do you have any home movies or photographs that feature the Colorado Railroad Museum, The Museum’s equipment or Colorado Railroads in general? We’d love to share them! Contact the Colorado Railroad Museum’s Multimedia Coordinator Matthew Isaacks at matthew@crrm.org!

In 2022, the Museum is offering Train Rides every Saturday mid-January through Labor Day, and also during the month of October. Follow us on Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
