BIRTHDAY PARTIES & EVENT RENTALS

The Colorado Railroad Museum offers the perfect setting year-round, for your next “Train-Themed” birthday party or celebration. Select one of several rental locations including 4 historic railcars located on the Museum’s 15-acre railyard, located in scenic Golden, Colorado.

Union Pacific Dining Car No. 4801

Union Pacific Diner No. 4801 was one of 17 built for Union Pacific in 1949 by American Car & Foundry for use on the streamliners City of Los AngelesCity of San FranciscoCity of Portland and City of Denver.

This unique venue can be rented for your Parties, Dinners, Luncheons, and Receptions. The seating capacity of the Dining car is 48. It is air conditioned or heated, as the weather dictates.

HOURLY
$250.00 per hour (48 guests maximum)

EVENING
All evening rentals of the museum and dining car will be based on availability, party size and event specific needs. To get a quote on an evening rental please contact our Event Manager at danielle@crrm.org

Terms
Rental will give your party exclusive use of the Dining Car and galley, admission to the grounds and an opportunity to purchase train ride tickets at a reduced rate *when applicable. Museum is open to the public from 9am to 5pm. All hourly rentals include a 30 min set-up/clean-up window before or after event at your discretion.

Upper Gallery

The Upper Gallery is an in-door rental location with access to HDTV Screen, Projector, 8-foot Tables, and Chairs. This is the perfect setting for your next business meeting or employee training session.

$150.00 per hour (20 guest maximum)

EVENING
All evening rentals of the museum and pavilion will be based on availability, party size and event specific needs. To get a quote on an evening rental please contact our Event Manager at danielle@crrm.org

Photography Groups

Rate
$20 per person outside of normal museum hours ($30 during Special Events).

Terms
10 person minimum. Private photo shoots can be scheduled from 6am-9am or 5pm-8pm most weekdays.

General Terms of Use

  • Rentals are offered 7 days a week. Access to venues on weekends is based on availability and the yearly Colorado Railroad Museum events calendar.
  • 30% deposit is due immediately upon booking to hold reservation
  • Events must be cancelled 2 weeks in advance in order to receive a full refund of deposit.
  • If applicable, liquor permits must be applied for, paid for and provided to the Museum by the party renting the venue.
  • The Museum retains the right to cancel any rental event/meeting due to adverse weather or any phenomenon which puts the safety of guests and staff at risk, based on required safety regulations.

Chicago Burlington & Quincy Caboose No. 13862

Built-in 1917 this standard gauge wooden caboose has been retrofitted with eight Formica-topped tables, a large serving
counter, a special seating area in the cupola for young children, and bench seating!

$150.00 Standard Rental includes:
– All-day admission for 20 guests, ages 2 & older!
Additional admissions are available for $5.00 each.

Available year-round on non-operating days (excludes most Saturdays, select Thursdays, Fridays & Sundays, Member Appreciation Days, SCFD Days, Boulder County Free Days, Spring Break, Special Events, Day Out With Thomas dates and The Polar Express Train Ride).

$200.00 Ride the Rails rental includes:
 
All of the Standard Rental benefits plus unlimited rides for you and your guests!

Available during Train Ride operations and Spring Break (excludes select Thursdays, Fridays & Sundays, Member Appreciation Days, SCFD Days, Boulder County Free Days, Special Events, Day Out With Thomas dates and The Polar Express Train Ride).

The Caboose has heating, lighting and an electrical outlet. Available for select 2 hour rental periods daily: 9:15AM, 11:45AM & 2:15PM.

Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Business Car No. 96

No. 96 was built by CB&Q as a traveling office with overnight accommodations and kitchen facilities. Up to twelve officers, board members or friends of the railroad could travel in quiet comfort to cities and towns served by the railroad. Help us raise funds to restore this car by hosting your very own private dinner on board the CB&Q.

Business Car Rental $1,500.00 Fundraiser Includes:
– Intimate Dining Experience for up to 6 guests on the CB&Q First Class Business Car
– Private Chef & Server will curate a multiple course menu based on your dietary preferences
– Drink service, tour of the rail car, dinner, dessert, sodas, tea and/or coffee included.

All Business Car Rentals occur after 5:00PM, Alcohol permitted – guests must provide their own alcohol. Limit 6 people.

Picnic Pavilion

The Museum’s outdoor Picnic Pavilion is the an excellent option for groups with a large number of attendees.

HOURLY
$500 per hour (half pavilion, 75 guest maximum)
$300 per hour (quarter pavilion, 25 guest maximum)
