Welcome to another Big Train Tour at the Colorado Railroad Museum! This month, we’ll be taking a look at a standard-gauge railroad business car dating from the mid-1880s. Built for a subsidiary that later merged with the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy railroad, and renumbered several times during its service life, the car continued in operation for some 75 years, until the advent of Amtrak. Today, Burlington business car number 96 is proudly displayed at the Museum, with a rich history to share.
