THIS FRIDAY, June 5!
Join author Angelina M. Lopez as she explores the history and lived experiences of Traqueros—Mexican and Mexican American railroad workers who helped build, maintain, and operate rail lines throughout the American West—and shares the stories that inspired her novel “After Hours on Milagro Street.” Following the talk, guests will have the opportunity to purchase copies of her book and meet the author during a book signing.
Tickets for this popular Museum lecture series include two beverages plus a selection of light finger foods (ages 21 and older only, please). Doors open at 6 p.m., and the presentation kicks off promptly at 7 p.m. Don’t forget to check out the engaging and interactive exhibit “Traqueros: Mexican Trackworkers and the American Railroad” while you’re at the Museum!
