It’s #TriviaTuesday! From restoring historic rail equipment and helping operate trains to leading tours, supporting special events and so much more, volunteers have been a driving force behind the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO for decades.

Can you guess how long volunteers have been helping keep the Museum “On Track?”

A) since 1979
B) since 1990
C) since 1965
D) since 1959

Are you interested in becoming part of this legacy?

Join us for a Volunteer Fair THIS SATURDAY, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and discover the many ways YOU can get involved! From leading hands-on educational programs, to supporting signature events like Day Out With Thomas™ and THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride, there are opportunities to match a wide range of interests, skills, and experience levels.

Whether you’re passionate about education, historical interpretation, collections and preservation, behind-the-scenes projects, or railroad operations, there’s a place for you at the Museum. No prior railroad experience is required. Volunteers attend orientation classes and receive on-the-job and/or specialized training, then go on to help visitors have fun while learning about Colorado’s fascinating railroad history.
