Time for a new “Big Train Tour!” Each tour will focus on a different piece of historic equipment in the Colorado Railroad Museum’s collection.
This episode, we’ll examine a railroad business car that was originally built for the Denver & Rio Grande as a railway postal car, but ended up spending most of its service life on Southwestern Colorado’s famed Rio Grande Southern railroad. Join Colorado Railroad Museum Executive Director Paul Hammond as we take a look at the history of this Colorado classic, and how it was remodeled and renamed over the years, and eventually relocated to Golden.
In 2021 the Museum is operating socially distanced train rides each Saturday! Follow us on Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
