The Friday Tour, Boulder County Free Day & Train Rides

To celebrate our partnership with the city of Boulder, Colorado, the Museum is excited to offer free general admission and train rides select dates to all residents of Boulder County. If you count yourself as a Boulder County resident, we invite you to join us Friday, October 23, for this fall’s free offering! Proof of residency is required.
All visitors can catch a train ride behind our Diesel Locomotive inside vintage passenger cars! Grounds & exhibits open 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Rides operate 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
Join us for The Friday Tour 1 p.m. – 2 p.m!
Every Friday, join us for an hour of exploring a different aspect of Colorado’s railroad history with a themed, guided tour! Each week’s theme is explored using a variety of museum resources to help bring the subject to life, and guests are welcome to continue their visit on their own after the tour ($3 per person, in addition to regular Museum Admission).

Admission: $10 adults, $5 ages 2-17, $8 seniors ages 60+. Free for members, residents of Boulder county, children under age 2 and active-duty military*.
Guided Theme Tour: $3 per guest. Free for Museum Members and ages under 2. Available at check-in on-site.
Train Rides: $4 adults, $2 ages 2-17. Free for members, residents of Boulder county & children under age 2.
Grounds open 9 a.m. – 5 p. m., rides operate every 30 minutes 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (crews take a lunch break at 12:30 p.m.).
Know Before You Go: Masks are currently required to gain entry to the Museum. We recommend purchase of admission and train ride tickets in advance, as our overall Museum and Train Ride capacities have been reduced for the time being. *Residents must present their ID with a valid Boulder area zip code when checking in to receive free admission and rides. The Colorado Railroad Museum may change scheduled operating equipment as needed without providing any notification.
