Plan Your Visit
There’s something amazing about trains
The familiar whistle has always promised adventure. The gentle rock of the rails has set the rhythm of our lives. Experience it all again at the Colorado Railroad Museum.
Plan your visit to the Colorado Railroad Museum and stroll the Museum’s 15-acre railyard with over 100 locomotives, passenger and freight cars, cabooses and even a G-scale garden railway. Watch as Colorado railroad history is brought back to life in our Roundhouse restoration facility with a working, hand-operated turntable. Visit the 1880s-replica Depot Museum building housing changing exhibits, along with the Denver HO Model Railroad Club’s operating model layout replicating the various types of Colorado mountain railroading. And finally, take home a memory from our Depot Store featuring thousands of train gifts for every rail enthusiast.
