It’s #TBT and for Throwback Thursday this week we’re heading back the the Colorado Railroad Museum in the mid-to-late 1970s thanks to the slides of Museum volunteer George Lawrence! George was on-hand as an early crew of volunteers worked all-day to move Rio Grande Southern Gallopin’ Goose No. 2 from a display track to the main “operating” track which was about a half-mile long at the time!

Do you have any home movies or photographs that feature the Colorado Railroad Museum, The Museum’s equipment or Colorado Railroads in general? We’d love to share them! Contact the Colorado Railroad Museum’s Multimedia Coordinator Matthew Isaacks at matthew@crrm.org!
In 2022, the Museum is offering Train Rides every Saturday mid-January through Labor Day, and also during the month of October. Follow us on Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
