Thank you for joining us for part two of our two part series on Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg. Last time, we watched an engaging video the Center for Railroad Photography and Art put together to chronicle the lives of this iconic couple. This time, we are going to feature the “Lens of Extravagance” exhibits themselves!
As we mentioned in the last video, the “Lens of Extravagance” encompasses the dual exhibits that both the Center for Railroad Photography and Art, and the Colorado Railroad Museum put together for this iconic couple. The Center’s traveling exhibit, Beebe and Clegg: Their Enduring Photographic Legacy, features 20 photographs by the pair, many not previously published, as well as parts of their fascinating history. This exhibit was made available to the public digitally on the Center for Railroad Photography and Art’s website. We highly encourage you to tour this digital exhibit. Romance Along the Rails: The Phenomenon of Beebe and Clegg, is the Colorado Railroad Museum’s companion exhibit, which we will be focusing on today. As previously mentioned in part one of this series, this exhibit highlights Beebe and Clegg’s Colorado connections, correspondences, and publications. This video will also include additional bonus material that isn’t mentioned in the exhibit itself! Join us as we explore the exhibit!
