Yes, indeed—the Colorado Railroad Museum is still making plans to host Thomas the Tank Engine and some of his friends for three weekends in September! The specific dates are Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13, 19-20, and 26-27. Exact details about the event will be released shortly. The planning this year has taken us a bit longer! For now, please be assured that our focus is on changing a few things, to ensure a family-friendly event with social distancing and your safety in mind.

There will—of course—still be Train Rides pulled by Thomas himself! There will also be plenty of photo opportunities, including that special picture with Thomas. Food, entertainment, and a variety of hands-off yet engaging activities will round out the offerings. This year’s theme is Thomas’ birthday party! (Did you know Thomas the Tank Engine has been delighting his many friends for 75 years?) And as always, Museum Members will once again have the opportunity to purchase tickets FIRST!

Tickets for Day Out with Thomas will go on sale for Museum members beginning Tuesday, August 4. General Public ticket sales begin Tuesday, August 11. This year, more than ever, we recommend early advance purchase. Event capacity has been reduced, and availability for specific dates and times will be much more limited than in past years. Watch for further announcements later this month! Click Here for the most recent updates about this event.
