Enjoy Thrilling Thursday activities with pop-up exhibits, re-enactors, and a variety of activities ongoing from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Included with General Admission select dates. Rides depart every 30 minutes from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursdays, May 15-August 7, 2025.
Admission: $10 adults, $5 ages 2-17, $8 age 60+. Rides: $4 adults, $2 ages 2-17. Free for Museum members and children under age 2.

Join the staff and volunteers of the Colorado Railroad Museum as they share some of their favorite children’s stories (with a decidedly railroad theme) followed by a fun “make-and-take” craft!
Recommended ages 4-6 years old. Included with General Admission (available here) select dates.

This one of a kind tour takes you on a trip throughout the Museum’s rail yard inspired by some of the best of children’s literature! Railroad themed, of course. The Little Engine That Could, the Little Red Caboose and of course, Donald Crews’ Freight Train provide the suitable inspiration for this adventure at the Colorado Railroad Museum.

Need a place to take the kids while they are out of school during Spring Break? The Colorado Railroad Museum has a solution! Enjoy Train Rides, pop-up exhibits and reenactors, a craft project, and a host of other special activities and demonstrations. It’s a week of hands-on activities related to the railroad and those connected with it. Mark your calendars now for March 2025!
