The story of Colorado’s railroads is one of perseverance, daring and ingenuity-it is the story of settling and taming the Wild West.
Celebrate the Wild West and Steampunk with “The Great Train Robbery” during the Colorado Railroad Museum’s Wild West Steam Days.
The Great Train Robbery will feature a whole slew of outlaws, lawmen, ladies and gentlemen as professional actors bring the 1880’s Colorado railroad experience to life with train robberies and gun fights over lovely damsels. We will have local Steampunk vendors on site with wares you won’t find anywhere else. Also, don’t miss Blacksmith Sam all weekend and Sunday.
Catch a ride behind the historic steam locomotive but be careful, your train might get robbed! It is the Wild West after all.
ADMISSION
$20 adults, $10 children (2-15), $15 seniors (60+). Museum members, Children under 2 & Active Duty Military Personnel are free.
Admission is valid all day and includes activities and unlimited rides behind a steam locomotive. Rides operate 10:00AM to 4:00PM.

Robbery at the Railroad
The Traveling Mystery Show has returned again this summer for a rootin’ tootin’ live theater production of ROBBERY AT THE RAILROAD. We invite you to take a ride on the wild side and experience the old west at the Colorado Railroad Museum and this interactive, outdoor experience that includes a ride on a real steam train complete with robbing, gunfights, outlaws, clues and mystery! You’ll need to keep a weathered eye on the horizon for greedy bad guys, but don’t fret, our local Sheriff and Deputy will do their best to keep everyone safe (or at least give it their best shot).
In this 2.5-hour interactive experience you’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time as you’re entertained with a live Wild West show. If you come to the show, you’re IN the show! We recommend 16 and up as there are gunfights and alcohol available on premises. We invite you to dress for the occasion and don your western finest for added fun!!
2 drink tokens come with your ticket price and also gives you access into the railroad Museum’s Special Event activities June 1 & 2, 2019 if you come prior to our show time at 5:00PM.
