Attention home-schoolers and Jefferson County families (this day is a Jeffco teacher training day): On Friday, April 25, enjoy steam train rides and engaging educational programming focused on the theme “Machines in the Age of Rail!” This special opportunity brings together family fun plus the opportunity to ride behind a living and breathing coal-fired steam locomotive straight out of Colorado’s rich tradition of railroad heritage.
This special day offers a sneak peek at the Museum’s exciting summer programming lineup, launching in mid-May—and also begins a full weekend of miniature railroad fun, with the Museum’s brand-new Small Wonders Weekend event taking place Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. All aboard for adventure! You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to get a sneak peek at the exciting events and programming coming this summer!
Admission: $10 adults, $5 ages 2-17, $8 age 60+. Rides: $4 adults, $2 ages 2-17. Free for Museum members and children under age 2. Rides are wheelchair accessible.
