Trick or Treat Train 2020!
Saturday-Sunday, October 24-25, 2020
Trick or Treat Train (Featuring a vintage Steam Locomotive!)
It’s full steam ahead for tricks, treats and trains! Join us for the Trick or Treat Train at the Colorado Railroad Museum Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25. The event will feature Steam Train Rides behind newly restored, 1899-vintage Rio Grande Southern steam locomotive No. 20, plus lots of socially distanced family fun!
The Railroad Museum is a family-friendly, mostly outdoors experience. While we won’t have Trick-or-Treating as usual this year, there will still be treats for the kids! Tickle your funny bones at the “not so spooky” Haunted Railcar and the Olde Railroaders Silly Graveyard. Enjoy live entertainment, visit our local vendors for a tasty snack, and get photos with the family in front of our Pumpkin Patch cart and Harvest-decorated historical locomotives and railcars!
This event has been planned with your safety in mind. Masks are required for Museum entry, and must worn at all times when indoors, aboard trains, and outdoors whenever proper social distancing cannot be maintained. Train capacities are currently reduced, with room for groups to spread out safely aboard trains. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the Museum grounds.
Our final Members Appreciation Day for 2020 will be held on Sunday, October 25. In addition to all of the above, Museum members will have the exclusive opportunity to ride aboard our recently refurbished Rio Grande Southern caboose (limited seating—first-come, first-served). Also this day, Behind-The-Scenes Tours of the Museum’s Richardson Library will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Know Before You Go:
Masks are currently required to gain entry to the Museum. We recommend purchase of admission and train ride tickets in advance, as our overall Museum and Train Ride capacities have been reduced for the time being. Although regular Museum Admission and Train Rides are free for Museum Members, we suggest advance reservations regardless.
The Colorado Railroad Museum may change scheduled operating equipment as needed without providing any notification.
