COLORADO RAIL DAYS: A COLORADO FIELD TRIP Grades: 2nd to 6th
Wednesday, April 27 and Thursday, April 28, 2023 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
$9 per student, per day. Pre-registration encouraged by April 20, 2023.
This annual hands-on program provides students with a number of opportunities for in-depth and engaging experiences! Your group will see, hear, smell, and ride behind an authentic Colorado steam locomotive.
Our volunteers will help them lay track, sing railroad songs, explore the impact trains have had on our environment, and more. Area cultural organizations will join us to discuss Pullman Porters, communicate with the Telegraph using Morse Code, and explore how railroads were instrumental in settling our state on a giant map of Colorado.
