It’s #TBT and for Throwback Thursday this week we have photos from the final day of the “Narrow Gauge Rendezvous” at Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad on Sunday August 28, 2016 captured by Museum volunteer George Lawrence!
After lunch participants were given a private demonstration of the restored Denver & Rio Grande Western OB Pile Driver at Cumbres Pass which was presented by the Friends of the C&TS. D&RGW steam locomotive No. 315 provided steam for the equipment. At the conclusion of the demonstration all of the geese and locomotives returned to Chama with photo runby opportunities along the way. George was able to take a few last photos as the equipment returned to the rail yard.
