It’s #TBT (Throwback Thursday)! Today we have home movie footage from Museum volunteer Michael McBride. Michael had his camera on-site at the Museum on October 10, 2009 to capture the operation of Denver & Rio Grande Western Pile Driver “OB” while it was on temporary loan from the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. This fascinating maintenance-of-way equipment was used to drive heavy timbers into the earth for trestle construction.
