Friday June 12, 2015 6:30 – 8:00PM – I’ve Been Working on the Railroad: The Life and Times of a Gandy Dancer

In this living-history  presentation, historian and Glenwood Railroad Museum board member, Pat Thrasher, will explore the life of a  Colorado “Gandy Dancer”.  Learn what it was like to build and maintain Colorado’s mountain railroads using only basic hand tools. You will meet Sean “Paddy” Adams, a walking boss with a track gang, working for the Rio Grande Junction Railway Company to build a new line from New Castle to Grand Junction.

Admission for events: $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Advanced Tickets Required, 21 and older only.

Tickets include 2 beverages of your choice: beer, wine or soda and snacks. Doors open at 5:30PM for early enjoyment of attractions. Cocktail service begins at 6:00PM. Presentation begins at 6:30PM and ends by 8:30PM.
